About the YABATECH Alumni Europe Chapter

We are an esteemed association comprising former students of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH)—recognized as both the greatest and the oldest tertiary institution in Lagos, Nigeria.

Our Journey and Mission
This organization was initially established by a handful of dedicated individuals with the exclusive purpose of uniting YABATECH alumni residing solely in the United Kingdom.

Recognizing the desire for connection and the potential for a stronger network across the continent, the group quickly evolved. We officially expanded our scope to include all former students living in Europe, establishing the YABATECH Alumni Europe Chapter as a single, cohesive body.

We are proud to have a membership base composed of well-established and successful professionals spread across various cities in the UK and throughout Europe. Our network is a source of mutual support, shared ideas, and professional growth.

Our Heritage and Community
We honor the foundational efforts of our pioneers, including the late Leke Aderohunmu, who sadly passed away but whose vision remains central to our mission.

Our primary mission is to foster a vibrant community that supports our members’ professional and social lives, promotes the ideals of our alma mater, and strengthens our connections globally. This includes maintaining a close relationship with our counterparts, such as the YABATECH Alumni Chapter in the USA.

Beyond our formal events, we maintain strong avenues of communication. We have a dedicated, daily-growing WhatsApp group that serves as a dynamic platform where members share ideas, support one another, and ultimately stay connected with the spirit of YABATECH.
